This quote is mostly about racism. There are two different parts of this quote though. The first part is the idea that everybody has some negative feelings about something they don’t like. The second part is the idea that what matters isn’t what you feel, but whether you act on those feelings.

If you act on those feelings, then they are bad and you shouldn’t act on them any more. This second part reminds me of my dad, who taught me to be wary of people with bad intentions. He never said that they were evil or bad or that he didn’t like them, but he would always tell me to be careful with them.

We need to distinguish between feeling and acting on feelings.
